How can I mute system sounds?

I have a player for a public place, and I want to avoid windows systems sounds here

How can I do that?

Not an easy task. I would check this link [1] and try to mute the sound system channel (or all other channels).

If you can find a Win32 API to do it then you can call that from C#.
